It was just a matter of time before Romney said something like this. The truth is that only 18.1 percent of households pay no tax and 10% of these are elderly. To imply that most or all of these people are Democrats or Obama supporters is ludicrus. But the point is valid – many people do believe (both Democrats and Republicans) that it is the governments responsibility to care for them (or the elderly or poor).
My question with all of these programs, is where does this money come from? It comes because we live in a society that is based on violence and coercion. A society where we tolerate and even encourage, having a third party steal from others, using guns and violence to exert our will on to others. And when this theft is not complied with or tolerated, the end result is always the same – a gun to the head and then being thrown in a cell.
Privately we are vehemently opposed to violence and theft, but somehow we condone it from our government.
Both parties believe that we are owned by the government and that it is acceptable for them to decide how much of our income we are entitled to keep.
Both parties believe in being the policeman of the world, spending over $1 trillion a year in maintaining over 900 military bases in over 130 different countries. They both believe then, in running an empire (which is bankrupting our country).
Both condone the use of a fiat currency, which can be devalued at will, causing sky high inflation which silently robs the wealth of its citizens.
Both parties believe in the same system of a private banking cartel (the federal reserve), operating in secret so they can bail out their constituents, instead of serving the American people.
But instead of talking about this, the REAL issues, we would rather spend time talking about the moron, Mitt Romney and his ramblings instead. I take that back. Most Americans would rather watch American Idol or Family Guy then spend time educating themselves how their country is being flushed down the toilet by BOTH parties.
